Bush tomato, also known by its Aboriginal name of or Akudjura and are also often referred to as ‘Desert Raisin’ is closely related to the typical garden tomato both being members of the Solanum family. It has a pungent sundried tomato flavour, with a rich spicy taste. Whole they have a consistency of hard dates, with a high oil content. They are a rich source of minerals, particularly iron & potassium, they are also high in vitamin C.
Chillies are excellent source of Vitamin, A, B, C and E with minerals like, manganese, folate, potassium, thiamine, and copper. Chilli contains seven times more vitamin C than oranges and have antioxidants which are good for cholesterol and are also a natural antibiotic. They are a natural pain killer for arthritis.
